Mobilize: 300 Partner Churches

SendNYC is in the process of mobilizing thousands of people toward the end of praying for, participating in and partnering with what God is doing in the city.

Pray

SendNYC will mobilize a broad coalition of prayer partners from all across the world in order to diligently intercede on behalf of the city. Prayer partners will come from our partnering organizations as well as the general public. They will be asked to covenant to pray regularly for our efforts in the city.

Participate

SendNYC will create environments for a broad range of people to experience and participate in what God is doing in the city. Participation will take on many forms and durations.

Short Term Participation: SendNYC will host short-term mission and discovery experiences in NYC and elsewhere for the purpose of casting a vision toward our ultimate goal. Presently, SendNYC sponsors City Uprising as a way to allow participants to have first hand experience in urban ministry by parting with a local church in order to meet the spiritual and physical needs of the surrounding community. In addition to the initial impact of this type event, the long term goal is to cast vision to its participants for a long term investment in the city. Church Planting Residency: Church planting residency is a chance for those who have been called and assessed to be church planters to gain valuable experience in a church planting environment, They will work exclusively in a new local church for the purpose of education and preparation. The length of the residency will be for at least 6 months, but ultimately will be based on the individuals specific needs and goals as they move toward planting their own congregation.

Catalyst Couples / Singles: These are people whom have been called to be a part of the church planting process as dedicated laity. Catalysts will work with the church planter and his team in an areas of their gifting in order to play a vital role in the planting process.Catalysts will commit to be a part of the team for at least 18-24 months

Long Term Participation: Long-term participation would consist of those who have been called to give their life to the city. Most likely this will be church planters and catalyst’s who know that they are to give the next season (at least 10 years) of their life to seeing the local church birthed in NYC.

Partner: Partners will consist of individuals, organizations, corporations, churches and denominations that will come together to insure the long-term financial objectives of the SendNYC strategy are met (Financial objectives will be set by the SendNYC board of directors).

Opportunities for Individuals or Married Couples

Internships: Come spend a season of time working along side of one of our church plants. You can spend as little as 10 weeks all the way up to 1 year.

Church Planting Residency: Are you convinced that you are called to plant a church sometime in the next 1-5 years? If so, then a church planting residency with SendNYC could be an ideal learning environment for you. Our residency program offers you the opportunity to live in NYC and work along side of one of our church planters on the field. You would spend at least 6 months in a "life on life" learning environment.

Catalyst Singles or Couples: Come work alongside one of our church plants while working a job in the city. Ideally any catalyst would be looking at a long-term investment in the city (at least 18 months).
